Metronidazole is an antibiotic that is used to treat a wide variety of infections, and is combined with niacinamide to treat adult acne.Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3, an essential nutrient that, when applied to the skin, has been shown to treat types of acne and eczema. Niacinamide is used alongside other active ingredients, like metronidazole, for optimal effectiveness. Niacinamide is water-soluble and works with the natural chemicals in the skin to aid in visibly improving the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, dullness, and a weakened surfaces.

This compound of Metronidazole and Niacinamide works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria and parasites, and may not only treat the patient’s underlying Rosacea, but may also have anti-aging effects.. Metronidazole and niacinamide is used on the skin to treat the skin disorder, rosacea, a form of adult acne. It works as an anti-inflammatory, reducing the redness, swelling and number of pimples caused by rosacea.

HOW QUICK ARE THE EFFECTS WITH  METRONIDAZOLE AND NIACINAMIDE TOPICAL CREAM?

For the strongest efficacy, take this compound at evenly spaced times. As a mental shortcut to help remind you, we suggest taking this medication at the same time(s) every day. As with most topical skin products, this compound may take several weeks for full benefits to be realized. Consult your doctor if your condition worsens, or if you haven’t noticed improvements after a couple months.

USING COMPOUNDED ROSACEA GEL

  1. Wash and dry your hands before and after applying this medication
  2. Wash and dry the application site
  3. Wait 15 minutes before applying rubbing a thin layer of medication, once or twice daily, as instructed by your physician
  4. Wait at least 5 minutes before applying cosmetics or other products

Be careful when using this medication around your eyes. Avoid getting it in your eyes, and only use the medication around or eyes if instructed by your physician. In rare cases, other side effects may occur. Seek medical attention right away should you experience any serious side effects, including: unsteadiness, tearing, pink eye, increased skin redness, hives, seizures, strong mood changes or confusion, difficulty speaking,itching, numbness or tingling of the arms or legs, eye pain, sudden vision changes, headache that is severe or doesn’t go away, stiff or painful neck.

POTENTIAL INTERACTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS WITH METRONIDAZOLE AND NIACINAMIDE

Speak with your prescribing physician about all medications you currently take. Do not take metronidazole if you are also taking disulfiram or if you have taken disulfiram within the last 2 weeks.This medication may interfere with certain lab tests, possibly causing false test results. Make sure lab personnel and all your doctors know you use this drug.
